No Child Left Behind

Child with school supplies

I like to give back to my community as much as I possibly can.
So when my friend Steve Flowers, owner of Suddenly Samantha Hair Salon in Easton Pa, asked me to photograph an event for him I told him I would absolutely photograph it on the house.

Fast forward to Monday August 21st, while everyone was staring at the eclipse I was watching something even more amazing. Steve managed to make sure that more than 300 children were totally hooked up with backpacks, pens, pencils, hair products from Paul Mitchell, candy from Just Born, and more. The whole place was hopping thanks to some awesome vinyl being spun by DJ Brad Scott Smith.

In addition, Steve and his group of gifted hair stylists made sure each child received a free haircut. Each stylist went above and beyond with their skills and provided some really awesome looking haircuts.

The event was held at the Third Street Alliance in downtown Easton Pennsylvania. The Alliance has been helping people in Easton for generations, and they were the perfect partner for this event. Their gymansium was the perfect venue and they were instrumental in making sure this event was well attended and managed accordingly.

I cant tell you how good it makes me feel that people like Steve are out there in the world making a difference, and putting others before himself.

From the bottom of my heart, Thanks buddy!
